Leadership Opportunities

• The INVST Community Leadership Program is a 2-year training program for students who are interested in social justice & environmental sustainability.
• Our small-group experience combines academics, community service and leadership skills training. INVST provides a sense of community on the CU campus.
• We offer two life-changing summer travel opportunities that allow you to learn about energy, power and sustainability, and immigration and economic justice.
• By participating in INVST you can earn the Leadership Studies Minor and anAmeriCorps Education Award of up to $2,000.

• Women’s Resource Center reviews current status of gay marriage in our country, looking at how the movement has overlooked lesbian couples, excluded trans folk, and paid more attention to gay males.

Messages about Disabilities: Overcoming the Impact of What "They" Say about Us
• This workshop series is for students with disabilities who want to explore how they are affected by social messages about disabilities and how they can limit that impact and even move beyond it. No need to register in advance. Just show up at noon.
• WHERE: Counseling and Psychological Services, Suite S440 in C4C (Center for Community).
• WHEN: February 20, March 20, April 17 12-1:00pm
• WHO: Glenda Russell, Ph.D. and Amelia Dickerson will facilitate the workshop series. Glenda Russell is a psychologist in Counseling and Psychological Services at CU. She has completed research and clinical work on many topics including the impact of social oppression on individuals and groups.
• WHO: Amelia Dickerson is a former student and current faculty member at CU as well as a person living with a disability. A perceived lack of programs to help individuals (including herself) to deal with stresses related to inequity for people with disabilities, inspired her to work with Dr. Russell to create this workshop series.
